Essentials of Market Research

This will take you through Market Research’s basic toolkit of methodologies.

Suited to those fairly new to research or those wanting a refresh, the day will include the basics of quantitative and qualitative research, questionnaire design, product and sensory testing, packaging research, digital research, the all important statistics and practical tips for working with agencies.

Consumer Neuroscience: How to Measure Emotions

Recent advances in the field of neuroscience have provided us with new ways of understanding human emotion and its impact on decision-making.

In this one day workshop, our neuroscience consultancy, Walnut Unlimited, offer a practical means of understanding the unconscious emotional dimension of the consumer brain. Through theory, case studies and practical examples, you will learn how the tools of neuroscience can be applied alongside existing methodologies to offer a holistic, multi-dimensional approach to understanding the emotional influences on human behaviour and decision making.

If you want to learn more about some of the innovative ways of understanding people and want to bring new approaches to your organisation, then this workshop is for you.

The Customer Journey to Purchase

Understanding the customer’s journey to purchase (and beyond) has never been more challenging, with an ever growing number of touchpoints and potential routes challenging linear models. Marketing Sciences Unlimited are hosting this new collaborative workshop to offer the opportunity to debate and discuss key thoughts and challenges in understanding the customer journey, with our experts and your peers from a variety of industries.

This interactive session is aimed at senior insight professionals who are looking to consider their approach to the customer journey, to address challenges or simply to hear a different point of view.

Senses Working Overtime

This is an exciting and fun chance to learn more about the world of sensory research whilst seeing our state-of-the-art facilities, as well as getting a chance to test your own tasting abilities. We will introduce what sensory testing is, how it works and how it can help you identify the unique sensory properties of your own products. Sensory testing can help optimise your products, identify gaps in the market for new products, or determine whether consumers would notice a tweak to your current product. During the workshop, you will:

  • Learn the essential elements for a successful sensory analysis
  • Have a tour of our fantastic facilities
  • Have a go at being a panellist in our booth rooms
  • Test your own sensory acuities of smell, taste and touch
