Lucinda, from the Product team, tells us about how she got into market research – and her passion for Ultimate Frisbee!
Like most people, it would seem, I stumbled into market research. After 5 years at university studying and researching all things Biology related, I was ready to try my hand at something different, but I knew I still wanted to be challenged and to use my skill set.
Market research has ticked all these boxes! I’m using all the skills I developed during my degree but in a novel and exciting way to understand more about consumers. The fast paced environment of market research is also a world away from academic research but is something which I’m relishing. So far no 2 days have been the same, and I’ve found the insights the research can provide are fascinating. I’m really looking forward to learning more and honing my skills.
Tell us something not everyone knows about you…
I play Ultimate Frisbee! It’s a fun energetic team sport. Maybe I’ll try and start a MSU team?!
What / who couldn’t you live without at your agency?
Definitely my pod! They’ve made me feel very welcomed, and are always happy to answer my many questions.
What’s your best or worst feature?
I leave my tea bag in my tea! Sacrilege to some I would imagine.
What would be your alternative career?
I love being outdoors, so something outdoorsy, maybe getting my hands dirty on a nature reserve.
What were you doing at midday last Sunday?
I was up in Durham, playing Ultimate Frisbee in the Snow!
