Shortlisted for Best Agency award

We were over-the-moon on Friday afternoon when we heard that we have been named as one of the finalists for the much coveted Best Agency (with a turnover under £20m) award in the 2014 MRS Awards.


We are tremendously proud of our team and the work that we do here at Marketing Sciences, and it is incredibly heartening to know that our own industry is recognising what we have achieved over the last few years.  A period that has seen us further develop our client partnerships, significantly grow the business, innovate across a wide number of areas, whilst at the same time maintaining the family feel that makes working at Marketing Sciences so special.

Client Partnerships & Growth

The past year alone has seen tremendous growth for the company; record revenues, wider client portfolio and more team members than ever before.  But for us it’s as much about focussing on our long-standing client relationships.  And with three quarters of our top-20 clients having worked with us for more than 5 years, we continue to build a deep understanding of the business we work with.


Innovation continues to be at the heart of what we do and 2014 has seen great leaps forward in this area where we have…

  • acquired a specialist neuroscience agency, Walnut, to reinforce our position as a market-leader in this cutting-edge field of research
  • invested in tablets for our face-to-face fieldforce to replace pen and paper surveys, completing the significant milestone of our 2-millionth tablet interview for Tesco earlier this year
  • invested in our own eye-tracking technology to support the growing number of clients we are helping to understand how their shoppers’ navigate their stores


However, our core strength continues to be our people.  And a staff retention rate of 90% and a training budget that has grown by 150% in the last 3 years shows how much we value our employees.  Something we were delighted to demonstrate to the outside world when we came 14th place in the Times Top 100 best small companies to work for, hopefully.


Being in Winchester is a part of the make-up of Marketing Sciences, and we feel very much a part of our community.  2014 has seen us win a Green Apple Award for our ‘Trees to Tablets’ initiative, as well as partner with our first ever charity of the year – Muffins Dream.
