We enjoyed two intensive, engaging, tiring, informative, creative days at the Marketing Week Live exhibition at London Olympia. This annual event, run by Marketing Week and EConsultancy, consisted of, in their words “two jam packed days of ideas, inspiration, tools, tactics & potential partners to help you deliver the best campaigns possible.”
THE TECH ZONE
We had a pod in the Tech Zone at the Marketing Week Live event. We, and the Walnut Unlimited team, demonstrated how we are experts in measuring the unconscious through some of our exciting neuroscience techniques. Combined with eyetracking, passive metering and qualitative research, we can unpick how consumers feel towards your brand, but crucially, want you can actually do to help change that.
Our pod was in amongst other emerging techniques and devices, such as virtual reality, big screen projections and augmented reality. We thought consumer neuroscience fitted in very well with these other high tech marketing tools, and we enjoyed the variety of interested people passing by our pod wanting to know more about how neuroscience and what we do with it can enhance their brand.
The show was buzzing, with a huge array of different companies showcasing what they do. There were many creative displays and ideas, which really got me thinking about the role of insight and how it truly sits behind all marketing decisions.
There were companies showcasing Marketing Automation, CRM platforms, visual retailing, data management, communities, direct marketing , insight, loyalty, mobile, video etc.
There was also a Marketing Week Live app for those on the go – and I love that there were some challenges within the app, for those feeling competitive on the day. Another way to increase interaction and engagement amongst attendees.
CONFERENCES AND FORUMS
There were several theatres dotted around the site with a jam packed program of fascinating conference speeches. Examples from Carphone Warehouse about how CW is building trust through customer experience, from Katy Minson, head of Customer Experience. The Secrets of Presenting well To Senior Management by Spencer Waldron of Prezi Inc.
Upstairs was The Insight Show, where our sister agency ICM Unlimited had a stand, and we enjoyed talking our colleagues and competitors upstairs. There were also several very engaging talks, including one from Ella’s Kitchen about using the senses to drive up brand engagement, and one on Real Time Insight by Jo Fawcett, of Zizzi.
All in all, a very enjoyable two days and we are now busy chatting to all the people who passed by our stand to find out how we can work together!Subscribe
